APPAREL & PROMOTIONAL PRODUCTS

After graduating from college, my first few jobs were design positions at screenprinting shops. During my time in screenprinting, I learned how to optimize a design while keeping ink colors to a minimum to save money. Because of my experience, t-shirt design makes up the bulk of my freelance work.  I often have more creative freedom with t-shirt and promo design, allowing me to grow my typography skills and experiment with different styles. 

My favorite t-shirt I had the pleasure of designing is the Stranger Things shirt for the Texas Tech chemistry department. Typography is one of my strengths, but this design relied heavily on illustration, which was a little out of my comfort zone. It was challenging to get as much detail as possible while sticking to 3 ink colors, but I was able to pull it off with the use of complex halftones. The success of that design has led to other Texas Tech despartments reaching out to me for design work.
